During his active duty Air Force service, David Brash was a base prosecutor from 1984-1986, a base defense counsel from 1986-1987, a regional defense counsel over a region covering 20 Air Force bases from 1988-1990, a Staff Judge Advocate (supervisory attorney at Air Force base) from 1996-1999, a Circuit Military Judge from 1999-2001, a Chief Circuit Military Judge from 2001-2004 (responsible for all Air Force courts-martial tried in the Pacific AOR); and the Chief Trial Judge of the Air Force from 2004-2006 (responsible for supervision of all active duty and reserve Air Force judges and all Air Force courts-martial tried world-wide). Colonel Brash retired from the Air Force on 1 October 2006, with 22 years of service, to pursue military criminal defense work with Richard Stevens. Their law firm, Stevens & Brash, is devoted to representing only military members facing military issues.
